Visit Manitowoc

Manitowoc, Wisconsin - a small community on the shores of Lake Michigan with a long and storied history in manufacturing… and of course, the birthplace of the Evergleam!

If you’re visiting from afar, we are situated about an hour’s drive north of Milwaukee and about half an hour south from Green Bay - Just east of Interstate Highway 43. To ensure your time here is as enjoyable as possible, we thought we’d give you a few recommendations:

Where is 8th Street?

The easiest way to find downtown Manitowoc is to follow US Highway 151 into the heart of the city. If you’re coming from the west on US Highway 10, or from the north on Highway 42, just turn south on 10th Street and follow until you reach Washington Street and the downtown area.

The Manitowoc Public Library

“The Enchanted Evergleam Forest”

During the holiday season, the library features roughly forty to fifty Evergleam trees from the collection of Francine Pfeffer-Guyette (“Frankie’s Forest). Here, you’ll be able to see a display of trees that represent the full gamut of what Aluminum Specialty offered throughout the years of Evergleam production. Photo-op areas and other vintage aluminum items are also on display, as well as a one-of-a-kind 14’ silver corporate model Evergleam that was originally made for a Western Auto trade show.
